Chelsea 4-3 Man Utd: Palmer nets two at the last minutes to save Blues (Video)

Cole Palmer’s heroics led Chelsea to a stunning victory against Manchester United, completing a remarkable hat-trick with two goals after the 100-minute mark.

The match, filled with drama and excitement, saw Chelsea initially take the lead with a goal from Conor Gallagher.

Palmer then doubled the lead from the penalty spot after Antony fouled Marc Cucurella.

However, United mounted a comeback, with Alejandro Garnacho scoring twice to level the score.

Bruno Fernandes then put United ahead with a header from Diogo Dalot’s cross, leading to what seemed like a late winner.

But Chelsea refused to give up. Substitute Noni Madueke was fouled in the area, and Palmer converted the penalty to equalize in the 100th minute.

Just a minute later, Palmer’s deflected shot found the back of the net, sealing a dramatic victory for Chelsea and sending Stamford Bridge into a frenzy.

Man City win record fourth English title in a row as Foden scores twice in 3-1 win over West Ham

Phil Foden scored twice early on as Manchester City clinched an unprecedented fourth consecutive Premier League title with a commanding 3-1 victory over West Ham.

Pep Guardiola’s dominant side showed little sign of last-day jitters, though a stunning goal from Mohammed Kudus just before halftime at the Etihad Stadium momentarily sparked hope for rivals Arsenal.

However, Rodri soon dashed those hopes by driving home City’s third goal, sealing their sixth league triumph in seven seasons under Guardiola’s inspirational leadership on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

The win ensured City remained out of reach for second-placed Arsenal, regardless of their result against Everton.

Arsenal had been relying on a favor from West Ham, who were already secured in ninth place and were playing their final match under David Moyes’ second tenure as manager.

With City demonstrating remarkable composure throughout the run-in, only the most optimistic Arsenal supporters believed they might falter.

City quickly put those hopes to rest, taking less than two minutes to assert their dominance and eliminate any doubts about the outcome.

With the sun shining and their player of the season Foden in scintillating form, City’s performance was nothing short of stylish.

Foden received a pass from Bernardo Silva on the right, cut inside, evaded a challenge from James Ward-Prowse, and unleashed a left-footed shot into the top corner from the edge of the box.

OFFICIAL: Phil Foden named Premier League Player of the Season 23/24

Phil Foden has been announced as the Premier League’s Player of the Year for his sensational performances, which have been instrumental in Manchester City’s pursuit of the Premier League title.

The England international has been pivotal for Pep Guardiola’s side throughout the season, scoring 17 goals and providing eight assists, directly contributing to 25 goals in total.

Foden’s form has helped City edge towards a record-breaking fourth consecutive Premier League title.

City will secure the title if they beat West Ham on Sunday, amid a close battle with Arsenal throughout the campaign.

Foden said: “To win this award is an achievement that I am extremely proud of.

“The Premier League is acknowledged as the greatest league in the world, and it is a pleasure to have been nominated with so many other great players who have all enjoyed special seasons for their clubs.

“Overall, I’ve been very happy with the way I have played this season and really pleased that I have been able to contribute with the goals and assists throughout the season.

“I’d like to thank all of the City staff, coaches and especially my teammates because without them this wouldn’t be possible. And I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who voted for me as the award means a lot.”

Man Utd CANCEL end of season dinner following worst campaign under Ten Hag

Manchester United has reportedly cancelled their end-of-season awards meal, originally scheduled for May 20, to avoid distracting players ahead of the FA Cup final against Manchester City.

This tradition, dating back more than a decade, typically includes prizes for men’s, women’s, and academy team players, such as the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year Award.

This decision, consulted with Erik ten Hag and management, marks the second time in three years that the ceremony has been called off.

Despite the cancellation of the gathering, awards will still be voted for and handed out among the players.

The cancellation comes amid a challenging season for United’s men’s team, currently sitting eighth in the Premier League and on course for their worst finish in the club’s Premier League history.

In contrast, the women’s team recently celebrated success by lifting the FA Cup with a 4-0 win over Tottenham.
