Alvaro Morata commits his future to Atletico Madrid with new contract

Alvaro Morata has decided to extend his stay at Atletico Madrid by signing a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2026.

The striker’s commitment comes after being linked with a potential return to his former club Juventus.

Despite interest from Juventus, Morata has chosen to remain with Atletico Madrid, demonstrating his loyalty and belief in the project at the Spanish club.

The new contract extends his previous deal by an additional two years, ensuring his presence in the team for the foreseeable future.

During the previous season, Morata made 44 appearances for Atletico Madrid, showcasing his goal-scoring abilities with a total of 15 goals.

Thirteen of those goals came in the league, while he also contributed two goals in the cup competitions.

Additionally, Morata provided three assists, two in the league and one in the cup, highlighting his ability to create scoring opportunities for his teammates.

By committing himself to Atletico Madrid and extending his contract, Morata has reaffirmed his importance to the team and his desire to contribute to their future success.
