Ancelotti Explains Lack Of Minutes For Endrick and Guler, Responds To Transfer
Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid’s manager, is feeling the heat at the Santiago Bernabeu after back-to-back defeats against Barcelona and AC Milan, where they allowed seven goals on home turf.
These results have sparked discussions about potential adjustments Ancelotti might need to make.
Reports indicate that Real Madrid is now eyeing a right-back acquisition in the January transfer window. Ancelotti, however, avoided delving into the topic during his pre-match press conference for their upcoming game against Osasuna.
With Lucas Vazquez as their only natural right-back option, there’s skepticism around the current defensive setup.
One significant frustration for club president Florentino Perez is the limited game time for young talents Arda Guler and Endrick Felipe.
Despite their potential, they’ve had minimal opportunities to showcase their skills, with Endrick missing out entirely in the last four games. When asked about Endrick’s situation, Ancelotti acknowledged the challenge.
“[He is] Ready to play, doing very well, showing a lot of quality in training,” Ancelotti said. “I say the same about Guler; they’re both young players pushing for a chance. But our main goal is to get back on track as a team. Can we achieve that with them? Yes, but the focus is on getting results, not on allocating minutes to individual players.”
The dilemma for Ancelotti lies in managing the squad’s balance. Giving time to Guler or Endrick might mean benching one of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, or Rodrygo Goes — a move that could create tension if it’s seen as a step down in quality. Adding to the selection headache, Brahim Diaz’s role remains another point of contention.
Ancelotti faces tough choices, balancing the development of promising youngsters with maintaining a competitive, experienced lineup to steer Real Madrid back to their winning ways.

‘I’m Not Naive’, Says Amorim As He Relishes ‘Difficult’ Man Utd Challenge
Ruben Amorim is stepping into his role as Manchester United’s new head coach with a realistic outlook, acknowledging the “challenging” journey ahead.
After overseeing his final match as Sporting CP’s manager—a 4-2 victory over Braga to preserve their flawless start to the Primeira Liga season—Amorim wrapped up his successful tenure with a remarkable record.
The 39-year-old achieved 164 wins in 231 games (D34 L33), leaving with a club-best 71% win rate.
Amorim joins United after an encouraging stint by interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, who remained unbeaten in four games. Despite the boost from recent results, Amorim is aware of the scale of the challenge awaiting him at Old Trafford.
“I’m ready for this new challenge,” Amorim shared with reporters after his final Sporting match. “But I’m not naive; I understand this will be very different and very demanding. I’m at peace now, able to focus fully on what lies ahead, and I’m excited to start tomorrow.”
Though hopeful about the fresh opportunity, he also acknowledged the unique pressures of his new role: “I know it will be hard to replicate what I had here, but there are other places with their own exposure and intensity.”
The club has yet to officially confirm Amorim’s backroom team, leaving it unclear if Van Nistelrooy will remain. The former United striker rejoined the club over the summer as an assistant to Erik ten Hag, signing a two-year contract. “I’ll speak with him [on Monday],” Amorim noted. “I’ll be straightforward. Let’s see where we stand.”
With 13 days before United’s next game, an away match against Ipswich Town on November 24, Amorim has the international break to prepare. He will make his Old Trafford debut shortly after, on November 28, in a Europa League clash against Bodo/Glimt.

Ruud van Nistelrooy Brutally Axed By Amorim In New Manager’s First Decision On Day One
Ruud van Nistelrooy will not continue with Manchester United, following a swift decision by new manager Ruben Amorim to release him from his role.
Van Nistelrooy, who initially returned to Old Trafford over the summer to work under Erik ten Hag, stepped into the interim manager role after Ten Hag’s departure on October 28.
Despite leading United to an unbeaten four-match streak, culminating in a 3-0 victory over Leicester City, this marked his final game with the club, as Amorim decided not to retain him.
Although Amorim’s coaching staff lineup has yet to be officially announced, it is confirmed that Van Nistelrooy will not be part of it.
Amorim, who managed Sporting Lisbon prior to his move to United, secured a win in his final game in Portugal just a day before his arrival in Manchester earlier today.
Before taking his flight from Beja International Airport, Amorim indicated he would discuss Van Nistelrooy’s future with him on Monday.
The flight, a private jet, became the most tracked journey worldwide on Flightradar24, sparking intense fan interest and speculation as Amorim prepares to shape his new team.

David Moyes Slams Man Utd Flops And Reveals Why Amorim In ‘Completely Different Situation’
David Moyes has criticized Manchester United’s players for not taking accountability, suggesting they “hid behind” recently sacked manager Erik ten Hag.
In a candid discussion on the Stick to Football podcast with Sky Bet, the former United boss voiced his frustration at the squad’s unwillingness to take responsibility for their poor performance, claiming they allowed Ten Hag to shoulder the blame.
Moyes remarked, “I think players are quite comfortable letting managers take the fall these days. I’d like to see some of them come out and say, ‘I’m not at my best right now.’ We’re not seeing that, and yet United have a lot of talented players.”
The Sporting Lisbon manager, Ruben Amorim, is set to take over at Old Trafford following Ten Hag’s exit after two and a half years. Moyes believes Amorim faces a very different environment than the one Moyes entered when he succeeded Sir Alex Ferguson, the legendary 13-time Premier League champion.
Reflecting on this shift, Moyes shared, “When I took over, United had just won the league, and I was joining a team that had a lot of respect for Sir Alex and everything he accomplished. It’s different now. Today’s players might be realizing that if they don’t perform, they could be out.”
Currently, United sits 13th in the Premier League, preparing for their upcoming clash against Leicester on Sunday.
Moyes, who hasn’t managed since leaving West Ham last season, also criticized the club’s shifting approach to handling managers.
“United once stood by their managers. When things were tough for Sir Alex, they didn’t rush to dismiss him. They had a level of class that’s been lost over time,” Moyes commented.
At 61, Moyes is clearly frustrated with the lack of accountability he perceives in modern football, especially among some of United’s players. He hopes that the new leadership will compel them to step up and bring back the pride once associated with the club.
