Ancelotti: I’ve spoken to Ceballos and Nacho; we need new strikers

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has openly acknowledged the need for his team to acquire new strikers during the upcoming summer transfer window.
This admission came after Real Madrid’s final game of the season against Athletic Bilbao, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
The match was significant as it marked the last appearance for veteran striker Karim Benzema, who will be departing the club. Additionally, Marco Asensio is set to leave, along with Mariano Diaz and Eden Hazard.
Given these departures and the need to strengthen the attacking options, Ancelotti recognizes the importance of bringing in new strikers to bolster Real Madrid’s squad for the upcoming season.
The club will now look towards the transfer market to find suitable replacements and reinforce their attacking lineup.
Ancelotti said: “Asensio, Nacho and Ceballos, who were coming to the end of their contracts, had a very clear idea of their role at Real Madrid in the future.
“I’ve explained it to them very clearly and the club has made them an extension offer. Marco preferred a change of scenery and Nacho and Dani are assessing it. I think from the signs that both of them will stay.
“I only had five changes and my objective was to win and finish second. Hazard and Mariano didn’t ask to come on and we gave them a good send-off.
“It was a different kind of farewell and I must clarify that they haven’t had the same limelight as the others, but they have been serious and professional right up to the last day. As professionals they’ve all the respect because they have conducted themselves well until the last day with the utmost professionalism.”
On the market, the coach said: “It’s apparent that today four forwards like Eden, Mariano, Asensio and Benzema are leaving. That’s where we have to act and we’re going to do so calmly.
“We have time to do it calmly. We’re looking for a striker who can score goals and link up well with the others. The profile of a striker bearing in mind that we have two youngsters up front who are starting to take more of a leading role. Vini Jr. from last year and Rodrygo has progressed more this year. He’ll be a forward who plays great football like Asensio or Karim.
“At the moment we only have two forwards, but I’m not worried at all because we have all the time we need to sort it out. You win games with and without forwards. Forwards are more likely to score, but it makes a difference when a team plays solidly, compactly, with effort and as a team.”

Official: Real Madrid wonderkid Arda Güler injured again

Just when we were anticipating the return of Arda Güler from his previous injury, a new update has dashed our hopes.
According to the official statement from Real Madrid,
“After the tests carried out on our player Arda Güler by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the left rectus femoris muscle. Evolution pending.”
Despite having trained with the team just a few hours ago, the young Turkish player will not be available for the upcoming Las Palmas clash on Wednesday.
This setback comes after Los Blancos signed Güler in a €20 million transfer from Fenerbahce this summer, yet he has not been able to make a single appearance for the club due to various injuries.

JUST IN! Vet center sue Chelsea’s £2bn stadium redevelopment (Details)

Military veterans have reportedly taken legal action to halt Chelsea’s £2 billion redevelopment of Stamford Bridge.
The club’s plans got approval in July after offering £50 million for the site adjacent to Stamford Bridge, where approximately 100 military veterans and their widows reside.
The veterans, angered by the prospect of being displaced, have escalated their efforts to thwart the sale.
They have sought an injunction to prevent the Stoll Charity trustees, who oversee the apartment block, from selling the property to Chelsea.
The veterans’ argument centers on how the sale would negatively impact the local community and harm residents, including vulnerable individuals who have served their country.
One resident, Matthew Bignell, 36, expressed his support for the injunction and his intention to stay in his home to show solidarity with fellow tenants.
Bignell stated that residents are prepared to face eviction rather than leave voluntarily.
This legal action by veterans is a setback for Chelsea owner Todd Boehly, who envisioned a significant stadium redevelopment that would increase capacity from 42,000 to 55,000.
It is another challenge following the club’s previous proposal to move to Battersea Power Station in 2012, which faced fan opposition and ultimately collapsed.

Two Man Utd stars plead for Sancho to apologize to Ten Hag to end exile

The host of the Manchester United star has urged Jadon Sancho to put an end to his feud with Erik ten Hag and issue an apology.
This comes after reports that the England winger has been banned from the club’s first-team facilities.
The dispute between Sancho and Ten Hag began on September 3 when the manager accused Sancho of inadequate training, leading to his exclusion from the matchday squad against Arsenal.
Sancho responded on social media, describing himself as a “scapegoat” and implying that Ten Hag was being dishonest.
Sancho has not played for the club since and was banned from first-team training. However, some teammates, including Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, and former captain Harry Maguire, have tried to intervene and encouraged Sancho to apologize to the manager.
They believe that apologizing is the best way to resolve the situation and get Sancho back on the pitch.
They sympathize with his feelings but recognize that some of his social media posts went too far. Sancho has been training and eating with academy players, but there’s no set date for his return to the first team.
While Ten Hag is reportedly willing to welcome Sancho back, it’s contingent on the winger issuing an apology. A source emphasized that resolving the situation hinges on Sancho taking this step, as the coach’s stance is firm.
