Arsenal are keen in a summer move for Jesse Lingard on the off chance that they can’t keep loanee Martin Odegaard beyond this season.
Lingard has revived his career since joining West Ham loaned from Manchester United in January, giving six goals and four assists in eight games under David Moyes.
According to EveningStandard, Gunners are keen to sign the 28-year-old themselves if a deal can be struck with United at the end of this season.
No option to buy was included in the £3million loan agreement and United have given no indication to the player as to whether they will be willing to sell, loan out or keep the midfielder beyond this summer. Lingard is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of next season.

Lingard’s fine form for the Hammers has earned a place back in Gareth Southgate’s England squad ahead of the Euros. Lingard made his first start for the Three Lions since 2019 when they faced San Marino last month, a game in which he was named man of the match.
