Arsenal vs Newcastle: Confirmed lineups

Published

on

On Tuesday night, Arsenal will play in the Premier League for the first time since 2023 when they host Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium.

The Arsenal are still riding a wave of momentum after recording back-to-back victories over West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion to close out 2022 and open up a seven-point lead at the top of the table despite a six-week break during the World Cup in Qatar and the loss of Gabriel Jesus to a knee injury.

The goal now is to maintain this format throughout the new year. Arsenal will face a difficult test because Newcastle has the best defensive record in the division with just 11 goals conceded and has only lost once in the league this season, in August, when they played Liverpool away.
