LeBron James breaks silence on ‘horrible’ mistake vs. Bulls
LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers suffered a heartbreaking 119-117 loss to the 33-40 Chicago Bulls after blowing a five-point lead in the final 12 seconds. The shocking defeat was sealed by Josh Giddey’s halfcourt buzzer-beater.
Following the game, James took accountability for his role in the collapse, admitting, “We put ourselves in a position to win… Horrible turnover by myself. Bad miscommunication on the play before that. AR still hit a big bucket to try to save us, and you tip your hat if someone hits a game-winner from half court.”
No words can fully ease the sting of this defeat or make it any less stunning. The Lakers had the win within reach but let it slip away. Even acknowledging Giddey’s incredible shot is tough, as he should never have had the opportunity. With everything unraveling so quickly in the final seconds, coming to terms with the loss remains difficult.
