Chelsea are confident that Thomas Tuchel will be at Stamford Bridge to take charge of the team in the game against Wolves on Wednesday, according to The Telegraph.
The source claims that the FA has permitted the German coach to join the Blues’ secure bubble.
He’ll have to quarantine inside for five days when not in training or at the games but will be able to work inside the bubble if he tests negative for Covid-19 in the UK.
Should anything prevent Tuchel from taking charge of Chelsea, Joe Edwards and Anthony Barry, the two coaches left from Frank Lampard’s coaching staff, will lead the preparations with the help of Petr Cech.
Tuchel is yet to be announced as the new Chelsea manager, but it’s being reported that he’s agreed an 18-month contract with the club.
His main task will be taking Chelsea back to the top four while also maximising talents of the Blues’ expensive assets Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.
