According to The Telegraph, N’Golo Kante is expected to reject Chelsea‘s contract offer as it falls below the proposals he has received from Saudi clubs.
Chelsea’s offer is said to be a “heavily incentivized” deal, with Kante earning more money based on his playing time. However, it is unlikely that the Frenchman will accept the offer.
Saudi clubs, believed to be Al Nassr and Al Ittihad, are reportedly offering Kante a two-year contract worth £43 million per year. This offer far exceeds the £15.6 million contract that Kante had hoped to secure with Chelsea.
The report suggests that Chelsea will not significantly improve their offer as they are not willing to engage in a bidding war with the Saudi clubs.
With Kante’s contract set to expire this summer, it appears likely that he will leave Stamford Bridge on a free transfer.
