Erik ten Hag is reportedly considering adding another former Ajax player to his squad at Manchester United.
The 53-year-old manager has already signed Lisandro Martinez and Antony from Ajax, as well as goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan, who previously played under him in the Eredivisie.
Now, there are rumors linking Ten Hag with a move for striker Brian Brobbey, who has had an impressive first half of the season.
The 21-year-old has scored 13 goals and provided four assists in 25 appearances.
According to Sky Sports, Ten Hag is keen to bring in Brobbey during the January transfer window and has been in contact with the player since the summer.
Brobbey previously played 19 games under Ten Hag during the 2020/21 season before leaving for RB Leipzig. He then returned to Ajax on loan in the 2021/22 campaign and made his move permanent the following summer.
Ajax, currently fifth in the Eredivisie, are reluctant to sell Brobbey before the end of the season, especially as his contract runs until 2027.
However, there is reportedly a strong relationship between Ten Hag and Brobbey, suggesting that a deal could be possible in the summer.
This news comes after Ajax recently strengthened their squad by signing former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson.
Meanwhile, Manchester United is seeking to bolster their attacking options, having scored only 24 goals in 21 Premier League games this season.
