Galatasaray’s Sportif AŞ deputy chairman, İbrahim Hatipoğlu, has shut down rumors about Victor Osimhen‘s possible departure in the January transfer window, confirming the club’s intentions to sign the Nigerian striker on a permanent deal after his current loan ends.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan in early September following a last-minute failed move to Chelsea, has been the subject of speculation, with rumors suggesting that top European clubs could activate release clauses in his contract to sign him in January.
However, Hatipoğlu firmly denied these claims.
In an interview with NTVSpor, Hatipoğlu clarified, “There’s no chance Osimhen will leave in January. In fact, we’re planning to have him play next season as well. He’s very happy at Galatasaray, and we want to keep him beyond this season.”
Osimhen, who has a €75 million release clause in his contract with Napoli, has been instrumental for Galatasaray and is reportedly content in Istanbul.
His strong performances reflect his commitment to the club, and Galatasaray is now focused on securing the Super Eagles star long-term as they continue their pursuit of a title defense.
