Harry Maguire brilliantly trolls himself with on Insta post after Man Utd goal

Harry Maguire trolled himself on social media after Manchester United fans chanted his name against Copenhagen.

The center-back scored the winner in the Champions League clash with Andre Onana saving an injury-time penalty.

It is a big boost for Maguire who has endured months of torment from fans, while he has also been dropped from Erik ten Hag’s favored starting line-up.

He was delighted with his contribution after the match and took to social media to poke fun at himself after his familiar chant echoed around Old Trafford once again.

Maguire shared a photo of his goal on Instagram alongside the caption:

“His head’s f***ing massive…1,2,3,4…”

During the summer, the English star faced a setback when he was relieved of his captaincy after a series of errors led to him losing his spot in the team.

However, in a positive turn of events, he has since been in the starting lineup for Manchester United in their last four victories across all competitions. His outstanding performance in the recent match against Sheffield United earned him the title of “man-of-the-match.”

Supporters of the club displayed their admiration for Maguire during the Copenhagen game, and the defender was genuinely pleased with the warm reception he received.

He said: “It is amazing. When you are not on your game it gets picked up, but I am really proud and pleased how I have acted over this six to 12 months.

“I have been given an opportunity and I want to help the team and get the club back to where it should be.”

Maguire’s name was in the transfer rumor mill during the summer, and there were speculations about a potential move to West Ham. However, that transfer never materialized.

Now, Maguire has successfully made his comeback into the team, partly due to Lisandro Martinez’s injury. His recent performances have earned praise from manager Erik ten Hag, especially for his contributions in the crucial victory over Copenhagen.
