Roberto Martinez is convinced that Eden Hazard can thrive at Real Madrid and win the Ballon d’Or in the near future.
The Belgium national team coach has reassured Los Blancos’ fans that the 29-year-old forward will be a star at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
“Hazard will succeed,” Martinez told Cadena SER.
“Sometimes you need a difficult start at your new club to really give everything you have inside and to understand what a club like Real Madrid means.
“[Fans] can rest easy, because he will mark an era.
“There are no players like him, he can win the Ballon d’Or.”
Martinez also added that Hazard has made important progress in his recovery from injury during the lockdown.
“Hazard is very happy and content amidst the concern that we all have as human beings,” he continued.
“He is in a moment of great joy and all the steps he has taken – from a medical point of view – have been taken in great detail.
“He was going to finish the season with Real Madrid without problems and now it will be much better [for him].”
