'I saw everything Ronaldinho did here' - Raphinha breaks silence after Barca move

Following quite a while of hypothesis, Barcelona at last agreed with Leeds United for the signing of winger Raphinha on Wednesday.

The Brazil international shows up on a five-year deal from Leeds and marks the first major piece of spending that Barcelona have undertaken since the signing of Antoine Griezmann in 2019.

“Playing for Barcelona is my dream, my family’s dream, my friends’ dream. Whoever saw me play when I was a child knows about my dreams, and playing for Barca is the fulfilment of that child’s dream,” Raphinha has told Barcelona’s official website.

“I hate losing. It’s hard for me to accept a loss. I will fight to make sure we win every match and I will fight to get the best out of me each match.

“It’s an honour for me to play for Barcelona. I saw everything Ronaldinho did here. I hope to do at least half of what Ronaldinho and Neymar did here,” the Brazilian also said.

Raphinha has completed his medical checkup. He is supposed to be unveiled at Camp Nou on Friday, July 15.

Barcelona set price tag on Chelsea target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Barcelona have placed a £21million price tag on Chelsea move target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as indicated by reports.

The cash-strapped Catalan giants are endeavoring to raise funds in a bid to sign Bernardo Silva from Manchester City.

To do this, club authorities will offload three players, including Aubameyang.

Chelsea are known to be keen on signing the striker following the takeoffs of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner.

However, new owner Todd Bohely should propose a huge expense to push the arrangement across the line.

According to Spanish journalist Gerard Romero, Barcelona will not entertain any offers less than £21m for Aubameyang.

The club want to receive at least half the fee they paid out to sign Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich, which came to a total of £42.5m.

That is despite the fact that they signed Aubameyang on a FREE TRANSFER from Arsenal just eight months ago.

Real Madrid boss picks replacement as him set to rotate Modric more this season

With a World Cup to be played mid-season this year, Carlo Ancelotti plans to rotate Luka Modric more often in the 2022/23 term, Diario AS say.

The player who to replace him in the Real Madrid midfield – with Toni Kroos Casemiro still undisputed starters – would be Aurelien Tchouameni.

Notwithstanding him being a defensive midfielder normally, Ancelotti accepts the Frenchman can play higher up the pitch.

It would definitely be surprising to see the coach use Tchouameni in a more advanced role when he has options like Eduardo Camavinga and Dani Ceballos on the bench.

We already say Modric start on the bench in the first league game this season, with Camavinga playing in his place. However, the coach had to bring the veteran on already at halftime.

Report: Converse between Man Utd and Adrien Rabiot slow down

Adrien Rabiot’s move to Man United is at risk, according to several sources.

Fabrizio Romano claims that United still find Rabiot’s salary demands too high, so an agreement on personal terms can’t be reached.

Gianluca Di Marzio adds that the negotiations have slowed down with the Juventus player.

Besides, Rabiot remains unconvinced about Manchester United as his destination this season as they won’t play in the Champions League.

Earlier reports claimed that Rabiot’s representatives have reached an agreement over the personal terms with Man United – but such claims appear to be wide of the mark now.
