Braves Rumors: Atlanta Exploring Veteran Starter Amid Competitive Market
The Atlanta Braves have largely addressed their offseason needs, bringing in Jurickson Profar as a potential impact bat and maintaining a strong roster that, if healthy, remains one of the best in baseball. Despite the departures of Max Fried, Charlie Morton, and AJ Minter, along with an injury to Joe Jimenez, the team appears to have sufficient depth to compensate for these losses.
However, Atlanta is still looking to bolster its pitching staff for the 2025 season. The team has been linked to multiple starting pitchers in both free agency and trade discussions, including a failed deal with Jeff Hoffman. So far, they have yet to secure a target.
As spring training gets underway this weekend, the search continues. According to MLB insider Hector Gomez, the Braves are among at least six teams showing interest in veteran pitcher José Quintana.
