Luka Doncic Addresses Injury Scare After Lakers-Clippers

The Los Angeles Lakers extended their winning streak to six games on Sunday night with a 108-102 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers. This marked their second consecutive win over the Clippers and propelled them to second place in the Western Conference standings.

During the first half, Luka Doncic briefly left the game and headed to the locker room while holding his hip and thigh. However, he returned shortly after, stretching before re-entering the game. Following the Lakers’ win, Doncic addressed the situation, as reported by Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

“Luka Doncic said he took a knee to his right knee, which led to his brief exit from tonight’s game. He mentioned that the soreness resulted from multiple collisions,” McMenamin wrote.

Despite the discomfort, Doncic reassured that he was fine. “Third straight game, same spot,” he said. “I was struggling a bit with that right leg, but I’m good.”

Earlier in the season, Doncic missed nearly two months with the Dallas Mavericks after sustaining a left calf strain on Christmas Day. Given his previous injury history, his brief departure raised some concern among Lakers fans, though his quick return was reassuring. Doncic ended the night playing just under 37 minutes, leading all scorers with 29 points while adding nine assists and six rebounds. While he downplayed the issue, the lingering soreness remains something to monitor.
