Manchester United fans are planning to utter their support to Paul Pogba on Saturday after the online abuse he received following the draw against Wolves.

The French midfielder was subject to racist abuse online after he missed a second half penalty at Molineux on Monday night which would have secured three points for United in their second Premier League game of the season.

The club have condemned the behaviour and Twitter have already shut down some accounts following the game earlier in the week.

United host Crystal Palace at Old Trafford in Saturday in their second home game of the season and the Red Army group, who have taken charge of the Stretford End right side this season, are planning to show their support to the World Cup winner.

“We want to really get behind him vocally and let him know he’s got the backing and support of the fans,” a spokesman for the group told MEN Sport.

“Pogba is a divisive character but everyone unanimously backs him when it comes to what happened the other day. He needs to know that we have got his back and will always support any United player.”
