Reports suggest that despite Manchester United‘s decision to sell Mason Greenwood, the chances of him staying at Getafe are “impossible.”
The 22-year-old forward has impressed greatly since joining the LaLiga side on a season-long loan, attracting interest from clubs like Barcelona.
However, United have reportedly placed a £42.8 million price tag on Greenwood, which is more than Getafe can afford.
The player is also keen on playing in the Champions League or other European competitions.
While Getafe is desperate to keep him, negotiations with United seem challenging, and Barcelona’s current transfer budget may not meet the asking price.
Greenwood has performed well for Getafe, with six goals and five assists in 23 top-flight appearances, but the club is currently 12th in the table, 11 points off European qualification.
