Man Utd set to ‘sack Erik ten Hag’ even if they win FA Cup final against City

Manchester United have reportedly decided to sack Erik ten Hag regardless of the outcome of Saturday’s FA Cup final.

The Dutch coach has faced a challenging second season at Old Trafford, finishing eighth in the Premier League— the club’s lowest finish since 1990— and failing to advance in the Champions League and Carabao Cup.

Despite reaching the FA Cup final, where they will face rivals Manchester City as underdogs, The Guardian reports that United co-owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos have decided to part ways with Ten Hag, even if they secure a victory.

Potential replacements include Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino, Kieran McKenna, Thomas Frank, and Graham Potter.

This decision marks a significant move since Ratcliffe and Ineos acquired a 27.7 percent stake from the Glazer family last December, gaining control over football operations.
