Luke Shaw has claimed Harry Kane the best striker on the planet – and he demands there are no worries about the England captain’s form.
Kane was subbed after 74 minutes of Friday’s goalless draw with Scotland without enlisting a solitary shot on track.
He is yet to hit the target in every one of England’s initial two games at the Euros.
“There is no concern at all. For me I think he’s the best striker in the world, Shaw said.
“He is a very important part of this team if not the most important part of this team. He is a crucial player for us. For me he is the best striker in the world. We need him.

“His performances have not been what was expected, but that happens in tournament football. You can score at any moment. He is such a crucial player. He’s got all our backing. I am not worried at all.”
Manchester United defender also believes the disappointing draw with Scotland serves as a wake-up call for England in their bid to proceed to the next round.
He added: “There is no denying there is a lot of disappointment. We have to look at it as another point in the right direction. We have to keep looking at the positives.
“Of course we wanted to win. That didn’t happen, but it’s another point to go where we want to go and we have to focus on it being in our hands.
“There should always be expectations on the team. We have undoubted talent. We are very strong. Of course there is expectation.
“Maybe today brought us back down a bit and will make us realise it’s not going to be easy. We will sit down and watch it back. There are things we need to do better as a team.
“We set standards as a team between us inside the group and we demand high standards. We need to be delivering – we are trying to do our best.
“Maybe as a team we weren’t at our best. That shows. But it was another clean sheet.
“We will sit down and analyse. It is still in our hands. We have another big game Tuesday. Forget about tonight and get ready for another big one on Tuesday.”
