Barcelona is reportedly considering a six-man transfer shortlist for next summer, with potential targets including Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial from Manchester United, as well as Arsenal’s Kai Havertz and Jorginho.
The financial constraints faced by Barcelona in recent seasons have led the club to explore free agents, players out of favor at top teams, and individuals who haven’t lived up to their potential.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the six-man list of potential targets includes Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial.
Sancho’s future at Manchester United has been uncertain following a public falling out with manager Erik ten Hag, who has excluded him from first-team activities. Roma has also been linked with a move for Sancho.
Martial, on the other hand, is into the final year of his contract with Manchester United and has struggled for consistent opportunities this season. He even faced criticism from his own fans during a recent match.
Barcelona’s interest isn’t limited to Manchester United players; they are also looking at Arsenal’s Kai Havertz and Jorginho.
Both players recently joined Arsenal, with Jorginho arriving in January and Havertz in the summer. Jorginho’s contract expires in 2024, and he has yet to start in the league this season, while Havertz has struggled for form and playing time since joining the club.
Barcelona, under manager Xavi, seems to be exploring various options to strengthen their squad ahead of the next season, considering players who might be available due to their circumstances at their current clubs.
