The French Professional Football League (LFP) Joint Appeal Committee has confirmed that a ruling will be issued on October 25 in the ongoing legal battle between Kylian Mbappe and his former club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
Mbappe is seeking €55 million in bonuses and unpaid salary, claiming that PSG owes him the amount from his previous contract.
However, PSG disputes this, arguing that the French star forfeited any financial entitlement when he refused to honor a gentleman’s agreement to stay with the club, opting instead for a free transfer to Real Madrid during the summer.
Months of investigations and legal proceedings have led to this highly anticipated decision.
Mbappe’s mother, Fayza Lamari, weighed in on the matter, stating, “If we have no other option, we will go to court. I hope that what we signed two years ago is respected.”
Meanwhile, Mbappe faces further challenges off the pitch, as he is also dealing with a separate accusation of rape in Sweden, adding to the turmoil surrounding the footballer’s personal and professional life.
