Mourinho re-emerges as shock candidate to replace Ancelotti as Real Madrid manager

Carlo Ancelotti’s future has been a topic of discussion in 2023, with strong links to the head coach position of the Brazil national team.
His contract with Real Madrid is set to expire next summer, making it likely that he will make the move.
Should Ancelotti choose to leave, Florentino Perez will have to find a new manager for Real Madrid’s 2024-25 season.
Several names have been mentioned, with Xabi Alonso being a prominent candidate.
However, Jose Mourinho is another option for Real Madrid. The Portuguese manager is expected to depart from Roma next summer, potentially opening the door for a return to Los Blancos, where he previously managed from 2010 to 2013.
Mourinho’s first stint at the club wasn’t overly successful in terms of trophies, but he remains a popular figure among the fans.
There is a possibility that Mourinho could return for a second spell, following the pattern of Real Madrid’s last two managers, Carlo Ancelotti and Zinedine Zidane.
