Manchester United are in talks with Napoli to figure out a solution that could potentially see Rasmus Hojlund exchanged for Victor Osimhen.
Manchester United are reportedly negotiating with Napoli over a potential swap deal involving Rasmus Hojlund and Victor Osimhen. According to Caught Offside, both clubs are exploring this exchange as a possible solution, as each striker has struggled to fit their current team’s needs. Such a deal could be an ideal outcome for United.
Manager Ruben Amorim and the club’s supporters have been underwhelmed by Hojlund’s performances. Despite being a regular starter, the Danish forward has only managed one goal in 13 Premier League appearances, which came against Leicester City before the recent international break. While he has been more successful at the international level, his future at Manchester United remains uncertain. Though the club is not actively looking to sell him, his representatives are reportedly working on a potential return to Serie A.
Hojlund, who previously shone at Atalanta before joining United, could be on his way back to Italy, with Napoli showing interest in a swap deal for Osimhen. The Nigerian forward, currently excelling on loan at Galatasaray with 31 goal contributions, is expected to leave Napoli in the summer. While several clubs are keen on securing his signature, Manchester United might attempt to gain an advantage by proposing an exchange deal involving Hojlund.
A swap between Osimhen and Hojlund could prove beneficial for both clubs, though it would be an especially favorable move for United. As they seek a new striker, the deal could allow them to reinforce their attack while offloading either Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee. If Napoli agrees to the exchange, it would mark a significant move for the Red Devils.
