Official: N’Golo Kanté buys football club in Belgium

Royal Excelsior Virton, a team in the Belgian third division, has been purchased by N’Golo Kante.

Recently, the midfielder finished his seven-year relationship with Chelsea to move to Saudi Middle Eastern heroes Al-Ittihad.

The 2018 World Cup winner signed a contract that, according to reports, is worth ten times more than the Premier League team offered him.

It became clear on Thursday morning that the 32-year-old had put some of the money he would get over the next few years into becoming a football club owner.

Kante and partners of the Frenchman have concurred terms to assume command over Imperial Excelsior Virton, who have quite recently been consigned to the third level of Belgian football.

Kante will lead the rebuilding effort at Stade Yvan Georges because R.E. Vitron finished in 12th place and at the bottom of the Challenger Pro League.
