Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will reportedly sit down with Manchester United’s bosses this week to examine the club’s transfer plans.
United named John Murtough and Darren Fletcher as football chief and technical director separately a week ago as part of a behind-the-scenes overhaul.
Notwithstanding the new arrangements, Solskjaer has expressed that he will in any case have a say in any approaching and active movement ahead of next season.
According to The Sun, talks are scheduled between the Norwegian, Murtough and Fletcher this week, with summer transfer targets at the top of the agenda.
United are said to have highlighted four positions that need strengthening – centre-forward, central midfield, central defence and a back-up goalkeeper, with one of David de Gea or Dean Henderson on their way out.
Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland, who Solskjaer previously worked with at Molde, is rumoured to be the Red Devils’ top target.
