Gary Neville heaped praise on Micky van de Ven after the defender’s stunning assist during Tottenham’s clash with Manchester United.

Tottenham took the lead just three minutes into the match at Old Trafford, thanks to van de Ven’s impressive forward surge from his own half. The Dutch center-back expertly carried the ball through Manchester United’s defense before delivering a pinpoint cross to Brennan Johnson, who slotted it home.

Commenting on Sky Sports, Neville said: “That was absolutely brilliant from van de Ven. One of the best runs I’ve ever seen from a center-back.”
