Club bosses are also open to delaying the start of next season if necessary, to ensure the current campaign reaches a conclusion.
The latest video conference between club bosses saw them place an indefinite suspension on the season for the first time since the coronavirus outbreak.
After previously setting ambitious deadlines of April 4 and April 30, on Friday they accepted there was no chance of playing again by the start of May.
Instead it was determined to leave the return date up for constant review until “it is safe and appropriate to do so”.
