Eder Militao was sent off ahead of schedule as 10-man Real Madrid were beaten 2-1 by Levante on Saturday in another hit to their expectations of holding the La Liga title.
Militao was red-checked with only nine minutes played for cutting down striker Sergio Leon when in on objective.
Without further ado a while later, Marco Asensio gave Madrid the lead on the counter-assault, opening past guardian Aitor Fernandez in the wake of being played in by Toni Kroos.
Levante leveled with 30 minutes played, Jose Luis Morales terminating a first-time volley past Thibaut Courtois, and after half-time the guests botched the opportunity to proceed when Courtois splendidly saved Roger Marti’s penalty .
Marti compensated for that miss on 78 minutes, polishing off an all around worked short corner schedule, as Madrid lost their first La Liga game since November.
