REVEALED: Graham Potter holds crisis talks with four Chelsea stars ahead PL clash tonight

To address Chelsea’s poor form, Graham Potter held “honest” talks with four players yesterday at the club’s training facility.

The Blues have only gotten six points out of their last 24 games, and Manchester City beat them badly in the FA Cup last weekend.

Potter’s position is already under a lot of pressure because he hasn’t been able to improve the club since replacing Thomas Tuchel.

Tonight, Chelsea takes on rival Fulham, who are three places and three points ahead of Potter’s team.

The Blues cannot afford to lose any more points given that they are already ten points away from qualifying for the Champions League.

Keeping this in mind, Potter revealed that he has discussed the team’s form with Chelsea’s most senior players, including Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho, Thiago Silva, and Cesar Azpilicueta.

“I spoke really at length yesterday with Thiago, Aspi, Jorgi, Kova – we had a really good conversation. They again showed their qualities as people,” said Potter.

“They were honest, articulated their concerns well. They articulated their positivity, they articulated their responsibility. And I think we are in a place where we can move forward.

“It is an experienced team. The players are honest and they want to take responsibility. They want to improve, they want to win. There are a lot there, we are quite fortunate.

“But at the same time, we are in a tough moment and there are challenges that affect the players as well. They are human beings.

“They are paid to do their jobs, but they are not robots. They are still affected by results and things that are happening in terms of the transition phase of the club. But I have been really impressed.”
