Sir Alex Ferguson Earned £2.16M Annually as Man United Ambassador

Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly earned £2.16 million annually in his role as Manchester United‘s ambassador, according to a report by The Athletic.

Contrary to earlier assumptions that this figure represented Ferguson’s total earnings from the club over the 11 years since his retirement, it has now been revealed that this was his yearly compensation.

However, the club allegedly deemed the salary unsustainable and terminated the contract with the legendary former manager, sparking discontent among other club icons.

Ferguson, who has been with Manchester United since 1986, remains one of the most influential figures in the club’s history.

Commenting on the situation, Rio Ferdinand expressed concern, stating, “If Sir Alex can be taken out, then NO ONE is safe at Man United. Anyone can get it now.”
