Surprise private jet spotted as Liverpool, Newcastle face Szoboszlai clause deadline

Liverpool and Newcastle United are racing against time to meet the €60m buyout clause in RB Leipzig midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai’s contract before it expires on June 30.

The Hungary international has an escape option in his contract that allows him to leave for the specified fee, but it must be triggered before the deadline.

As of now, there has been no confirmation from either Premier League club about their intentions to meet the clause.

However, Szoboszlai’s agents have engaged in discussions with officials from both Newcastle and Liverpool in recent days.

If the buyout clause expires, RB Leipzig will have the freedom to negotiate their own transfer fee for Szoboszlai.

In the meantime, there have been reports of a private jet traveling between Budapest and Liverpool on Thursday, fueling speculation that the player’s agents may be holding new talks with Liverpool.
