Manchester United fans have expressed frustration over reports of the club’s agreement to sell Mateo Mejia.
The Colombian winger has been in impressive form for the Red Devils in the Premier League 2, scoring three goals and providing five assists in just nine appearances.
Despite his promising performances, it’s reported that Mejia is set to join LaLiga side Sevilla next week, with Manchester United not receiving a transfer fee due to his contract expiring in June.
The club is said to retain a 25% stake in any future sale of the player.
This news has sparked disappointment among fans, who have voiced their concerns on social media about losing a talented player without receiving a fee.
One fan blasted: “I’m tired of this club.
“They are giving out players with potential for free only to buy them back with a huge sum of money.”
A second commented: “What is my club doing, we are in the mud.”
