Victor Osimhen Breaks Through with First Goal for Galatasaray

Victor Osimhen has officially opened his goal-scoring account for Galatasaray, netting a brace in their thrilling 3-3 draw against Kenneth Omeruo’s Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday.

The Nigerian forward, who joined Galatasaray this summer, played a key role in helping his side establish an early lead.

Osimhen’s first goal came in the 20th minute after a perfectly timed run, followed by a clinical second strike in the 28th minute, putting Galatasaray up 2-0.

Mauro Icardi added a third goal just before halftime, seemingly securing a fifth consecutive league victory for the Cim-Bom.

However, Kasimpasa mounted a dramatic comeback. Mamadou Fall reignited hope for the visitors by scoring in the 44th minute, reducing the deficit to 3-1.

Haris Hajradinovic then closed the gap even further with a late strike in the 83rd minute, before Nuno Da Costa completed the comeback with an equalizer in the 90th minute, earning Kasimpasa an unexpected point.

Despite the frustration of letting a 3-0 lead slip away, Osimhen’s performance was a key highlight for Galatasaray.

His brace signals a promising start to his tenure at the club, even as coach Okan Buruk will now focus on tightening the team’s defense to prevent similar collapses in the future.

On the other side, Kenneth Omeruo’s Kasimpasa will be encouraged by their resilience, fighting back from a difficult position to secure a valuable point.

With the draw, Galatasaray remains at the top of the Super Lig standings, while Kasimpasa, showing competitive determination, currently sits mid-table under coach Sami Ugurlu’s leadership.
