VIDEO: Sir Alex Ferguson waits to congratulate Erik ten Hag

After Manchester United’s victory over Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final, Sir Alex Ferguson gave Erik ten Hag a warm embrace.

Ten Hag led United to their first trophy in six years while the legendary manager was in attendance at the final.

Ferguson was able to offer his congratulations to the United manager as he waited for him in the tunnel following the victory.

Ten Hag invited Ferguson into the team’s changing room to take part in the post-game celebrations after meeting him after the game.

Casemiro’s header gave Manchester United the lead after they controlled the final for much of the game. Sven Botman’s own goal doubled United’s lead and gave them complete control as they played the game out.
