WAFCON 2022: Nigeria 4-0 Burundi Highlights
The Super Falcons of Nigeria on Sunday crushed Burundi 4-0 in their last group game to arrive at WAFCON’s quarter-finals.
The Burundians were no counterpart for the Nigerian side that overwhelmed the game from starting till the end.
Rasheedat Ajibade serenely converted a penalty on 25 minutes after she was carried down to give the Falcons the lead.
Harmony Efih made it 2-0 for the Nigerian side on 28 minutes, while Uchenna Kanu made it three from short proximity a moment later.
Kanu struck the fourth goal a moment later however the ref precluded it for offside.
However, she was relentless on 46th moment to make it 4-0 for Nigeria and a brace for herself.
The Super Falcons will now clash Cameroon in the quarter-final of the competition later in the week.

WAFCON 2022: Zambia 1-0 Nigeria Highlights

The Nigeria national women’s team lost 1-0 to their Zambian counterparts Friday night in the match for the bronze medal at the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Having failed to make it to the final, the Super Falcons and Shepolopolo needed the bronze medal match as some form of consolation.
However, even though it was the Nigerian ladies that dominated play at the Complexe Mohamed V in Casablanca, a fortuitous strike just before the half-hour mark by Evarine Katongo was helped into the net by Chiamaka Nnadozie.

Zambia 0-1 South Africa: Linda Motlhalo sends Bafana Bafana to WAFCON 2022 final (Video)

Banyana of South Africa have equalified for the final of the WAFCON 2022 tournament in the wake of getting a sensational 1-0 success against the Copper Queens of Zambia in Monday’s semi-last.
With the game heading for extra-time following six minutes of added time, the South Africans were granted a penalty for a foul on a Banyana player after lengthy meeting with VAR.
And Linda Motlhalo changed over the spot kick to send the South Africans to their fifth WAFCON in final debut.
It is presently consecutive final debut for Banyana, who lost 4-3 to the Super Falcons of Nigeria at the 2018 edition.
