Wayne Rooney's Health Raises Concerns After Being Spotted Looking 'UNWELL'

Wayne Rooney has sparked concern about his health after being photographed looking visibly unwell while watching Manchester United’s recent 3-0 defeat to Tottenham.

The United and England legend was seen in the stands at Old Trafford, appearing unimpressed with his former team’s performance.

At 38, Rooney has recently been in high spirits, having led Plymouth Argyle to two wins from their last four Championship matches, boosting their survival hopes.

However, his appearance, just three years after retiring, has raised concerns among fans.

A photo of Rooney, dressed in a black coat while watching the game, was shared by Sky Sports on X (formerly Twitter), prompting fans to express their worry.

One user commented, “He looks really bad.” Another added, “Hang in there, Wayne,” while a third noted, “Rooney looks older than his age. He needs to take care of himself.”

Other fans also shared their thoughts, with one saying, “He looks too old,” followed by a crying emoji. Another expressed concern, asking, “Is he suffocating? He’s all red.”

Rooney previously acknowledged his weight struggles during a 2022 interview after being teased by Jamie Carragher on Monday Night Football for wearing the same suit he had worn at his Premier League Hall of Fame induction.

Rooney explained, “I’ve put on a bit of weight over the past year, and it’s the only suit that fits me right now—I’m getting the most out of it.”

In his 2012 book, My Decade in the Premier League, Rooney candidly shared how quickly he gains weight if he doesn’t train regularly, saying, “I’m like most blokes, I put on a few pounds after a holiday. Even if I don’t train for a week, I gain two or three [pounds].”
