‘We didn’t get one’ – Guardiola speaks on Bernardo Silva’s possible move to Barca

Pep Guardiola has expressed his desire to keep Bernardo Silva at Manchester City and emphasized that he only wants players who are fully committed to the club.

He mentioned that City has not received a satisfactory offer for Silva from Barcelona, and if they want to sign him, the Catalan club’s representatives would need to travel to Manchester and negotiate with the club’s sporting director.

Guardiola said:

“Losing Kyle [Walker] and Bernardo would be so difficult that’s why we’re doing everything to keep them because they want to really be here.

“I don’t want any players who don’t want to be here. I want to work with guys who want to stay.

“But we need a proper offer, we didn’t get one. If they want him they’ll get on a plane, come here and speak to our sporting director, to find an agreement.”

Reports suggest that Barcelona is prepared to make an initial bid of €75 million for Silva, but this amount may not meet City’s rumored valuation of €80 million.

Negotiations between the two clubs will be crucial in determining whether a deal can be reached, and if Barcelona wants to secure Silva’s move, they may need to increase their offer to meet City’s demands.
