Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez has made it clear that Fermin Lopez will not be sent out on loan this season. The young talent showcased his potential by scoring in their recent preseason victory against Real Madrid in Dallas.

With Lopez making a positive impact in the preseason match, Xavi has decided to keep the player at the club for the upcoming season rather than sending him out on loan to gain experience elsewhere.

Xavi said: “He is a great signing. He is a very mature player who wins duels and is a leader on the pitch.”

When asked about fellow goalscorer Ousmane Dembele, Xavi Hernandez praised the French forward for his performance and contributions in the preseason match against Real Madrid. Dembele, who also found the back of the net in the game, impressed the coach with his skills and attacking prowess.

Xavi highlighted Dembele’s potential and expressed his belief that the player can play a significant role for Barcelona in the upcoming season.

“We will see [what happens to Dembele],” Xavi has told the media.

“You never know what will happen in the transfer window. I personally see him happy here. If there’s something, he will tell me. Now he’s here and he’s happy,” he also said.

Indeed, despite the reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain and their willingness to trigger his release clause, he seems determined to stay in Barcelona.

It appears that Dembele is keen to continue his development under the guidance of coach Xavi and be an integral part of Barcelona’s plans for the upcoming season. While transfer rumors may persist, the player’s performances on the pitch seem to indicate his preference to stay at Camp Nou and continue his footballing journey with the Blaugrana.
